Obituary of Carol L. Guyre

Carol L. Guyre, 87 of LaFayette, NY gained her wings on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.  Born in Lowville, NY on November 23, 1936 to the late Dr. Carl Laughlin and Maybelle Sinns Laughlin.  Carol was a distinguished artist, seamstress, dollmaker, quilter and bridal consultant.  She was predeceased by the love of her life, Kenneth C. Guyre, husband of 59 years.  They were rarely apart.  They taught American Round Dancing, sang in church choirs as well as Schola Cantorum.  Together they travelled, made English bobbin lace, cooked and enjoyed time with their family and beloved friends.

Carol is survived by her son, Michael Guyre (Marion) of Grayson, GA. Her daughter, Joy Nash (James) of LaFayette, NY. Her grandchildren, Jennifer Williamson (Tyler), Stephanie Guyre (Josh), both of Georgia. Benjamin Nash (Bridget) of East Syracuse, NY, Kelsey Hallum (Tom) of Central Square, NY. And her 5 great grandchildren.

There will be no Services. Friends and family are invited to come and share memories at her daughter's home, Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 1-4PM.
